Northeast Florida's second Whole Foods Market opened at 7 a.m. Oct. 7 at Pablo Plaza in Jacksonville Beach.
The 40,000-square-foot natural and organic specialty grocer at 2050 S. Third St. was announced in May 2015.
The chain's other area store opened in 2008 at 10601 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin.
The Jacksonville Beach store offers a sushi and wok station, a full-service butcher and seafood counters, an in-house bakery and more than 800 local products.
Austin, Texas-based Whole Foods operates 487 U.S. stores, 14 in Canada and seven in the United Kingdom. Amazon.com Inc. owns the chain.
