Christopher Burns, partner with the Terrell Hogan law firm where he specializes in bicycle and pedestrian-related accident cases, joined the Groundwork Jacksonville Inc. board of directors.
“As we work to create a connected, safe, enjoyable experience along the Emerald Trail, we are fortunate to have someone with Chris’ knowledge and commitment to pedestrian and cyclist safety serving on our Board of Directors,” Groundwork Jacksonville board Chair JoAnn Tredennick said in a news release.
An avid cyclist, Burns is president of the city’s Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee and a member of the City Council’s Context Sensitive Streets Standards Committee.
Boyd & Jenerette elected Kathryn Oughton as shareholder and added partner Victoria Armstrong and associate attorney Heather Masse to its Jacksonville office.
Oughton, who joined the firm in 2013, is the group leader of the firm’s property damage claims practice area.
She focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on the defense of cases involving first-party property claims.
Oughton graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2008.
Armstrong focuses her practice in the areas of first- and third-party automobile liability defense and insurance coverage disputes.
Before joining the firm, she worked for a local litigation firm for five years defending first- and third-party claims and handling personal injury protection and no-fault insurance litigation.
She graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012.
Masse’s practice focuses primarily on first- and third-party automobile defense and insurance coverage disputes. Before joining the firm, she worked on commercial, civil litigation, family law and personal injury matters.
Masse received her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2020.
Rogers Towers added Rachel Duffy to the firm’s Jacksonville office.
Duffy is a member of the Estates & Trusts and Business & Tax departments. She practices in the areas of wills, trusts and the administration of estates and guardianships, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Duffy received her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in 2021.
