Smith Hulsey & Busey completed its move to Wells Fargo Center.
After more than 30 years in offices at One Enterprise Center, the law firm’s attorneys and support staff have taken over the 33rd floor in one of Downtown’s signature office towers.
“We were ready for a change,” said Jean Busey, the firm’s executive director.
The space is an open floor plan decorated in soft gray tones. It features relocated and new fine art acquired through Steller’s Gallery.
Chairman Stephen Busey said the transition from a traditional environment to the more contemporary setting has been an adjustment, but it’s needed for the law firm’s second 100 years.
“We have some really talented young lawyers here. This is an opportunity to have an environment that’s conducive to creativity,” he said.
The firm’s design committee worked for more than a year before the move with Lori Avampato, senior interior designer with Group 4 Design Inc.
“It was a leap of faith to go from something traditional to something more contemporary,” she said.
“We are very pleased,” said Jean Busey.
