Burr & Forman in Jacksonville added H. Timothy “Tim” Gillis as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group.
Gillis focuses his practice on transactional business law and commercial litigation. He advises private equity funds and their portfolio companies, major retailers, franchisors and franchisees, commercial real estate developers, financial institutions and other clients.
Before joining Burr & Forman, Gillis was managing partner of the Jacksonville office of Shutts & Bowen. He is former chair of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Transactional Law Section.
Gillis received an LL.M (taxation) from Georgetown University Law Center, a J.D. from Florida State University and his undergraduate degree from Jacksonville University. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1998.
