A Publix Super Markets shopping center in the master-planned Silverleaf community in St. Johns County is permitted to build.
St. Johns County issued $13.99 million in permits March 27.
Altamonte Springs-based HGR Construction is the contractor.
The development includes a 55,701-square-foot store that reflects the grocery chain’s new prototype that is slowly being rolled out.
A 2,100-square-foot liquor store and two retail stores totaling 13,700 square feet are part of the shopping center.
The grocery is planned at northwest Silverleaf and St. Johns parkways. It is north of Silverleaf Parkway and west of St. Johns Parkway near the 55+ age-restricted housing development Reverie Trailmark.
Jacksonville-based civil engineer England-Thims & Miller Inc. submitted an application for design review to the county May 14.
The St. Johns River Water Management District received an Environmental Resources Permit application July 2 for the project.
Plans show 384 parking spaces at the 24.7-acre property. Six outparcels will be developed later, according to an application from England-Thims & Miller.
According to its website, the ETM is a frequent Publix collaborator, with projects including about 25 other locations for the grocer.
