Three months after receiving a permit to build its shell, the Publix liquor store in Elevation Pointe can now build-out its interior.
St. Johns County issued a permit March 19 at a project cost of $175,000.
Site plans show a 2,100-square-foot store with three aisles.
Its shell permit, issued Dec. 20, was estimated at $170,000.
The county also issued a permit Dec. 20 for a 48,387-square-foot grocery store, estimated at a project cost of $3.83 million.
Site plans show 253 parking spaces and a pharmacy at the shopping center.
The stores are planned at 2785 and 2885 Florida 16, west of the St. Augustine Premium Outlets.
Elevation Pointe is a mixed-use development along Florida 16 that includes retail, apartments and town homes.
Altamonte Springs-based HGR Construction is the contractor for the entire project. Jacobs Engineering Group, based in Jacksonville, is the liquor store’s architect. Hollywood-based Cornerstone Residential Management LLC, through Cornerstone Collard Augustine, owns the land.
Other tenants planned at Elevation Pointe include Chase Bank, Circle K and coffee drive-thru locations 7 Brew and Dutch Bros.
Publix operates 1,391 stores, including 874 in Florida and 19 in St. Johns County. It has more than 350 liquor store locations.
