Salad and wrap restaurant Salata Salad Kitchen is coming to the Nocatee Town Center in St. Johns County.
It will the Texas-based chain’s first location in Florida.
The 2,400-square-foot restaurant will open in the fourth quarter of 2025, completing the leasing of the 37,740-square-foot Nocatee Town Center, according to a March 13 news release.
The fast-casual chain was founded in 2005 in Houston. It opened its 97th location Jan. 18 in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to its website. It addition to Texas and North Carolina, it has restaurants in California, Georgia and Louisiana.
Similar to concepts like Sweetgreen, Subway and Chipotle, meals are built-to-order. Customers choose between a salad or wrap and customize it with more than 50 toppings such as shrimp, avocado, corn and black beans along with more than a dozen dressings. Pricing is flat regardless of the number of toppings. Salads come in regular or small sizes.
The menu also includes soups and sides such as fruit and croissants.
Cincinnati-based Last Mile Investments, a national retail investment and operations firm that owns Nocatee Town Center, announced Salata signed a lease to open in the center.
“Nocatee Town Center serves as the business and retail heart of one of Florida’s top master-planned communities. Salata will be an ideal destination for residents and professionals looking for a quick healthy meal,” said Ryan Moore, LMI CEO, in a statement.
Other tenants at the Nocatee property including Verizon, Dunkin’, Heartland Dental, Bronx House Pizza and Burn Boot Camp.
Nancy Sumner and Katy Figg of Colliers represented LMI in the lease negotiations while Lara Bahri and Marrhacia Francois of CBRE represented Salata.
