Island Wing Co. Grill & Bar is set to build at 12689 Beach Blvd. in Tamaya, a residential and retail community at northeast Beach and Kernan boulevards.

The city issued  a permit March 10 for Kaneco Construction LLC of Atlantic Beach to build the restaurant at a project cost of $3.2 million project in the Tamaya Market shopping center.

The Benedict Bullock Group of Deerfield Beach is the architect. CHW Professional Consultants of Alachua is the civil engineer.

Property owner OFFI Island Wing Tamaya LLC of West Palm Beach bought the site in November 2021 for $1.75 million.

The acquiring LLC is associated with restaurant groups that own Island Wing and other concepts.

The permit application shows the 6,960-square-foot restaurant will be built on 1.54 acres.
