Two more drive-thru coffee shops are in review along Beach Boulevard – Ellianos in Pablo Station and what appears to be Dutch Bros at a corner of Spring Glen Road.
Those could be the 12th Northeast Florida locations for each.
Ellianos
Ellianos Coffee is described as an 835-square-foot drive-thru-only coffee shop in the parking lot at San Pablo Station at 14333 Beach Blvd.
The center is at northwest Beach Boulevard and San Pablo Road.
City utility JEA issued a service availability determination letter March 3 to JBrown Professional Group Inc. of Gainesville for the project.
The location is east of Orange Blossoms restaurant and in front of where Big Lots operated within the shopping center.
While the application addresses the center at 1433 Beach Ave. in Atlantic Beach, the real estate property number is that of 14333 Beach Blvd. in Pablo Station.
The project client is shown as The Harvest Venture Group Inc. of Jacksonville.
The property ownership is affiliated with HHH Management Inc. of Delray Beach.
It would be at least the 12th shop in Northeast Florida for Lake City-based Ellianos, which has five locations in Jacksonville and four in Nassau, Clay and St. Johns counties and at least two more coming soon to the greater Arlington area of Jacksonville.
Ellianos sells coffee and beverages, breakfast bowls, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, bagels and pastries.
Dutch Bros
JEA issued a service availability determination letter March 5 for what looks like a potential Dutch Bros project.
It is described as a 950-square-foot coffee shop in a lot at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits at southeast Beach Boulevard and Spring Glen Road.
J&J Real Estate Ltd. of Orlando owns the 2.26-acre site, where ABC Fine Wine & Spirits operates a 10,000-square-foot liquor store built at 5440 Beach Blvd. in 2007.
J&J Real Estate is affiliated with Orlando-based ABC Liquors Inc.
ABC Liquors deeded the property to J&J Real Estate in 1998.
While Dutch Bros is not identified, the project is described as a 950-square-foot coffee shop with no seating inside or outside, coinciding with the chain’s description.
Jacksonville-based civil engineering firm England, Thims & Miller Inc. is the applicant.
The property is in the Spring Park area, about a half-mile east of University Boulevard.
It could be the 12th Dutch Bros site identified in Northeast Florida.
The 11th is a former Starbucks Coffee Co. shop at 14355 Beach Blvd. targeted for conversion into a Dutch Bros Coffee drive-thru-only kiosk location.
That site is at northeast Beach Boulevard and San Pablo Road – near the newly identified Ellianos. Starbucks moved to a larger location across San Pablo Road.
In 2023, Grants Pass, Oregon-based Dutch Bros announced its intentions to enter Northeast Florida.
Dutch Bros carries coffee, drinks and a limited menu of pastries with no cooking on-site.
Dutch Bros has opened three area stores in St. Augustine, West Jacksonville and Southwest Jacksonville.
