St. Johns County Conagra facility closed, could be expanding

The owner of the facility in Elkton has filed a permit application to increase the building’s size and parking.

The Conagra processing facility and warehouse in St. Johns County is closed and the building owner is seeking approval to expand it.

The 321,500-square-foot facility is at 3660 Deerpark Blvd. in Elkton, about 10 miles south of St. Augustine Premium Outlets.

An employee who answered the phone at the warehouse Jan. 30 said it is closed. Conagra’s corporate office has not responded to a request for comment.

Darien, Connecticut-based ECP Deerpark Property LLC owns the warehouse. Its address is shared by a law firm in Darien.

The Conagra at 3660 Deerpark Blvd. in Elkton is west of Interstate 95 and the bestbet St. Augustine.

The county is reviewing an application by ECP Deerpark Property that would increase the size of the facility 199,852 square feet to 521,352 square feet. It also would increase the number of parking spaces from 26 to 140.

Langan Engineering and Environmental Services LLC of Orlando is the civil engineer.

The county’s Development Review Committee is scheduled to discuss the expansion plans Feb. 19.

Chicago-based Fortune 500 Conagra Brands produces and ships food brands including Birds Eye, Duncan Hines, Healthy Choice, Marie Callender’s, Reddi-wip and Slim Jim, as well as emerging brands such as Angie’s Boomchickapop, Duke’s, Earth Balance, Gardein and Frontera.

As of fiscal 2024, Conagra had 42 facilities, about 18,500 employees and $12.1 billion in revenue, according to its website.

ECP Deerpark Property bought the warehouse in March 2023 from USDLP LL LLC of New York City for $30 million.
