The Farah & Farah law firm, in partnership with the Florida Prepaid College Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida, is seeking applicants for its 5th annual Empowering Greatness Scholarship Program.
Five scholarship winners each will receive a Florida Prepaid College Foundation 2-Year College Plan that covers tuition and most fees for 60 credit hours at any Florida public college. The plan value can alternatively be applied to a university or trade school in Florida.
“The absolute best part of my year is calling these outstanding young people and telling them they won the scholarship and their first two years of college are on us,” founding partner Eddie Farah said in a news release.
To qualify, students must be enrolled in a public or charter high school in Florida, demonstrate a commitment to their communities and the classroom and meet additional eligibility criteria.
Each year, a scholarship committee assesses submitted applications using a comprehensive framework. The top 10% of applicants advance to a final selection round with reviews from a panel of judges, including leaders in their communities and respective fields, as well as past scholarship recipients.
Scholarship recipients will be announced in May.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 18. For more information, visit farahandfarah.com/scholarship or email [email protected].
