Baymeadows-based GreenPointe Developers announced Jan. 28 it will develop the Amberly neighborhood on about 270 acres in Clay County.
The project is west of County Road 218 at Cathedral Oak Parkway in Middleburg.
The community’s 725 single-family home sites will be built by Jacksonville-based Dream Finders Homes. It will have one- and two-story homes on 40-, 50- and 60-foot homesites.
The neighborhood will have a pool, clubhouse, fitness studio, a play park and a dog park.
“Community residents will enjoy a variety of recreational amenities, innovative floor plans and the latest home designs from Dream Finders Homes, and a convenient location near everything Northeast Florida has to offer,” said Gregg Kern, GreenPointe Developers division manager, North Florida Region, in a news release.
Amberly is zoned for Clay High School, Lake Asbury Junior High School and is east of Shadowlawn Elementary School. A project map shows an area of future development about the same size as Amberly west of Shawdowlawn.
Property records show Greenpointe owns the Amberly site through Parcel 61 Ventures LLC. The property surrounding the development is owned by the Reinhold Corp. of Fleming Island.
Other Greenpointe communities include Amelia Walk and Tributary in Nassau County, EvenTide and TrailMark in St. Johns, and GreyHawk, Hyland Trail and Granary Park in Clay.
Edward Burr founded GreenPointe in 2008.
Burr has served as chairman of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, JAX Chamber, Jacksonville Civic Council and Jacksonville Country Day School.
