Mixed Fillings Pie Shop announced Jan. 24 on social media that it will reopen in March at an undisclosed location on Adams Street in Downtown Jacksonville.

The pie shop closed its location in Five Points in July 2024.

Owner and chef Natasha Burton said in the social media post she plans to open the new location “complete with a parking garage” on March 14.

The date is known as Pi Day because written numerically it is 3/14, which correlates to the first three digits of the infinite number pi. The day is celebrated by math enthusiasts and bakers.

Burton opened her shop at 1049 Park St. on April 28, 2023. She moved from the original location at 2251 Oak St., which she told the Daily Record was too small, hidden away like a speakeasy and came with too many hassles.

“Location is the difference between surviving and a thriving business. If you have a location where you have visibility, not only are you benefiting from your repeat customers but now you are gaining a whole new audience of people who never knew you existed,” Burton told the Daily Record in May 2023.

In her Jan. 24 post, she hinted that the new location will have access to a parking garage, which addresses the parking problems customers faced at the Five Points location.

Since closing, Mixed Fillings has been a regular from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Riverside Arts Market. It will continue selling at RAM through 2025.

Burton has more than 30 recipes and usually makes between eight and 15 on any one day at her store. Her most popular are Blurred Limes Key Lime Pie and Apple of My Pie, she said in May.

In November, Southern Living magazine featured Burton in an article about Thanksgiving desserts.

Phone and text messages to Burton were not immediately returned.
