The country’s largest Pizza Hut franchisee has scheduled a grand opening for its Ponte Vedra location Jan. 31.
San Francisco-based Flynn Group owns more than 975 locations in 27 states according to a Jan. 14 release.
The Ponte Vedra store is at 10580 U.S. 1 N. in the Shoppes of Valley Ridge.
Osage Contractors of Buckner, Missouri, is overseeing the build-out. The project cost for the 1,400-square-foot restaurant is $140,000.
The store held a soft opening Jan. 14.
According to data from Scrapehero.co, there were 6,739 Pizza Hut restaurants in the U.S. as of Aug. 1. Texas has the most locations with 918 stores, about 14% of all Pizza Hut restaurants in the country. Florida has 461.
Pizza Hut’s website lists 26 locations in Jacksonville.There are five in St. Johns County.
The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday-Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The first 25 customers at the Ponte Vedra location Jan. 31 will receive free pizza for a year, with restrictions.
