Jacksonville-based One Call announced the appointment of Nick Mendez as CEO, effective the week of Feb. 10.
Mendez will succeed Jay Krueger, who became president of the company in September 2021 and was promoted to CEO in May 2022.
One Call provides services for the workers’ compensation industry.
Krueger said in a Jan. 13 news release the company established several objectives when he joined the company, including improving its service delivery model and financial performance.
“Now that those objectives have been accomplished, I have decided to step away from One Call,” he said.
Mendez has more than three decades of experience in the health care industry, most recently as chairman and CEO of Tennessee-based Innovative Renal Care.
“I’m thrilled to welcome such an accomplished, experienced executive to One Call. The Board is confident Nick will build on the company’s strong financial performance and continue to expand and improve solutions for our customers,” One Call Board Chair Rebecca Steinfort said in the release.
