Chicken Guy! - a creation of celebrity chef Guy Fieri and restaurateur Robert Earl – is preparing to open in the Walmart Supercenter in River City Marketplace.
The chickenguy.com site says the restaurant features chicken tenders brined in lemon juice, pickle brine and buttermilk with fresh herbs, along with sauces created by Fieri.
The city is reviewing a permit application for Millennium Contracting Inc. of Orlando to renovate almost 2,000 square feet of space within a Walmart suite near the front entrance at 13227 City Square Drive at an estimated cost of $110,000. It appears to have 40 seats.
Studio RG of Melville, New York, is the project coordinator.
The architect is WT Group LLC of Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Chicken Guy is part of Orlando-based Earl Enterprises, which includes Planet Hollywood, Brio Italian Grille, Bravo Italian Kitchen and other concepts.
The first Chicken Guy opened in 2018 in Disney Springs and offers franchises.
