Two months after confirming plans for four Northeast Florida stores, Georgia-based Parker’s Kitchen is seeking review of a location in Clay County it had not previously announced.
The gas station and convenience store is planned at 2121 Constitution Drive, where Kids World Academy Orange Park currently operates.
Two additional parcels in the development plan are sites where Bojangles and 7-Eleven operated. Both are closed.
Parker’s Kitchen is 6,300 square feet, according to its application.
Jacksonville-based England-Thims & Miller is the civil engineer.
The total 2.88-acre site is about 4 miles north of a location the company announced in December 2024 at Blanding and Tanglewood boulevards.
Other confirmed Parker’s Kitchen sites are at 7481 Wilson Blvd. at Old Middleburg Road North in West Jacksonville; 11205 Alta Drive north of Interstate 295 in North Jacksonville; and 76010 William Burgess Blvd. near Wildlight in Yulee in Nassau County.
The three property owners are Miami-based real estate group CAM Group and 2121 Constitution LLC and J A Real Estate LLC, of Asheville, South Carolina.
Savannah-based Parker’s Kitchen has at least 93 locations in Georgia and South Carolina, with 25 more planned in those states and Florida. The nearest to Jacksonville is 32 miles north in Kingsland, Georgia.
Founder and CEO Greg Parker opened the first store in Midway, Georgia, in 1976.
A June expansion announcement for Augusta, Georgia, highlighted grab-and-go options, a hot bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and electronic kiosk ordering.
Menu highlights include never-frozen, antibiotic-free, double-breaded Southern fried chicken tenders, signature mac and cheese, potato logs, fresh salads, gourmet coffee, sweet tea, Fancy Lemonade, 28-degree beer, fountain drinks with Chewy Ice and other convenience items.
Clay County’s Development Review Committee will review the Parker’s Kitchen plans Feb. 20 at its regularly scheduled meeting at the Clay County Administration Building in Green Cove Springs.
