Baptist Health announced Feb. 6 it broke ground on its Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines campus and plans a spring 2026 opening.

The campus is at 11851 Stillwood Pines Blvd., near Butler Boulevard and Interstate 95 and is east of St. Johns Town Center.

The medical facility will offer a range of health services that includes primary care, a news release said.

“By situating the campus in this dynamic and high-traffic area of southeast Jacksonville, Baptist Health is making quality care conveniently available right where people live, work and thrive,” Catherine Graham, senior vice president, clinical service lines and ambulatory business development for Baptist Health, said in the release.

Baptist Health purchased the 10.52-acre site in October 2021 for $10 million.

Initially, the campus will have two two-story medical office buildings. The first will be about 52,000 square feet and will house primary care practices for family and internal medicine physicians, and offices for cardiologists. A wellness center will offer programs, coaching and education to promote preventative health care lifestyles.

Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines will offer a range of health services that includes primary care.

Plans for the other 68,000-square-foot building include an ambulatory surgery center. It will be designed to meet the health needs of the community as they arise.

“With the capacity to expand services over time, Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines is an investment in the long-term health and well-being of this community,” said Michael A. Mayo, president and CEO of Baptist Health.

The Seven Pines master-planned community is about 1,000 acres. When complete, it will have about 1,600 single-family homes, upscale apartments and more than a million square feet of commercial and retail space.

Another medical office building is planned adjacent to Baptist HealthPlace to the east.

Onicx Group of Tampa is developing the two-story, 50,000-square-feet building on 3.53 acres. It purchased the land Jan. 24 for $2.6 million.

According to a Colliers marking brochure, the first-floor tenant of the Seven Pines Medical Office Building is Halo/Precision Imaging Diagnostics. The second floor is available for lease.

It said the building is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.

To the west of the Onicx Group project is the planned fitness and athletic club Life Time.

The Skinner family, which is developing the Seven Pines master-planned community in Jacksonville, sold a portion of a 7.19-acre parcel Jan. 24 for $2.6 million where a medical office building is planned.
