Brooks Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic – World Golf Village is permitted to complete work on space at its St. Johns County facility.
The clinic is at 319 W. Town Place, about a half-mile north of World Commerce Center and about a mile and a half south of World Golf Village. It is in an office condo built in 2007.
The county issued a build-out permit for phases two and three of the multiphase project Jan. 30 that is within the clinic’s 7,253-square-foot existing space. The project cost is $357,960, with expected completion in April.
Phase one, which was $600,000, included initial build-out of the clinic. It was permitted June 10.
Adams Interior Contractors Inc. of Middleburg is the contractor.
“Our World Golf Village outpatient clinic will be almost doubling in size. The existing clinic was at its max capacity for patients, so we’re expanding to offer more access to care in that growing area of St. Johns County,” said Ann Leinenwever, vice president of Brooks Rehabilitation’s outpatient division, in a Feb. 3 statement. “We’ll continue to offer outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy with upgraded equipment when the multi-phase project is complete.”
Dr. J. Brooks Brown and his partners opened Memorial Hospital in 1969 with 99 beds. The first outpatient center opened in 1993. There are more than 70 Brooks Rehabilitation locations across Northeast and Central Florida today, according to Brooksrehab.org.
Services include breast cancer rehabilitation, certified hand therapy, speech therapy, sports therapy, dry needling, neurological therapy and pelvic health.
