Five months after home construction began at The Landings at St. Johns residential community, plans for an amenity center are advancing.

The Landings at St. Johns is south of Greenbriar Road and west of Longleaf Pine Parkway in northern St. Johns County.

St. Johns County is reviewing a building permit application submitted Feb. 3 to construct a 14,296-square-foot clubhouse, a 4,787-square-foot fitness center, a pool, a community garden, pickleball courts and 91 parking spaces.

Jacksonville-based England-Thims & Miller is the civil engineer.

The amenity center will support Del Webb and Pulte Homes developments. It is not yet scheduled for review by the county’s development review committee.

The Landings, a Pulte Homes community, is planned with up to 588 homesites. It will have one- and two-story homes on 50-, 60- and 65-foot lots with preserve and water views.

The Dell Webb St. Johns, a 55-plus community with up to 761 homesites, will feature homes built on 50- to 65-foot lots.

The communities will be constructed simultaneously, with the smaller neighborhood expected to be completed first, according to a July 31 news release.
