The Pajcic & Pajcic law firm will be moving up six floors to a 15,800-square-foot space in 1 Independent Square at 1 Independent Drive Downtown.
The firm is the building’s longest-running tenant. Its 52 employees will relocate from the 19th floor to the 25th floor by January 2026.
Scott Henley with CBRE represented the law firm in lease negotiations. The space is the same size.
“We’re excited to build on our long history in this building and in Downtown Jacksonville,” Pajcic & Pajcic shareholder Michael Pajcic said in a news release from CBRE.
“Our investment in a modern, state-of-the-art workspace will enhance our ability to work collaboratively and help us better serve our clients.”
The new space will be renovated with improvements including upgrading technology to streamline communication. The firm also is modernizing the office layout with a floor plan that will allow attorneys and staff to work together more efficiently, the release said.
1 Independent Square, the 37-story former Wells Fargo Center, is Downtown Jacksonville’s signature tower. It was developed in 1975 for the Independent Life & Accident Insurance Co.
It became 1 Independent Square in 2024 as the property was sold and anchor tenant Wells Fargo downsized, removing its name from the top of the building.
