Dave’s Hot Chicken opens April 18 at 10261 River Marsh Drive, No. 137, in St. Johns Town Center, according to its Facebook page.
It is the restaurant’s first Jacksonville location. It is next to PetSmart and Firehouse Subs.
The Pasadena, California-based chain has more than 200 locations. There are 13 international restaurants open or planned.
The company serves tenders, sliders, fries, kale slaw and macaroni and cheese.
The seven spice levels range from no spice to “Reaper.”
The other Florida locations are in Altamonte Springs, Gainesville, Lake Mary, Orlando, Pembroke Pines and two in Tampa.
According to its website, brand investors include former California first lady Maria Shriver, Red Sox owner Tom Werner, actor Samuel L. Jackson, rapper Drake and “Good Morning America” anchor and retired NFL player Michael Strahan.
The build-out was by Scionti Construction Group LLC of South Miami at a project cost of $250,000.
