Randi Alt, a third-year student at Jacksonville University College of Law, received the 2025 Dr. Frances Bartlett Kinne Graduate Student of the Year Award.

The award was presented at the Women’s History Month Concert and Awards Ceremony on March 25 at Terry Concert Hall on JU’s Arlington campus.

“Randi Alt is a leader among leaders and very deserving of this award. Her selection as the Kinne Graduate Student Woman of the Year underscores the impact that each our inaugural law students have made to the legacy of Jacksonville University,” said JU College of Law Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs Courtney Barclay.

A member of the law school’s inaugural class, Alt helped establish the Student Bar Association, serving as a class representative in her second year and developing bylaws and policies that will guide future classes.

She also is treasurer of the Disabled Students Association and played a role in founding the Mock Trial Team.

As the inaugural editor-in-chief of the Jacksonville University Law Review, Alt led a team in organizing two Law Review Symposia and managed the publication of the first issue.

Beyond academics, Alt has built a legal experience resume.

Before completing her first year, she interned at the 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office and was a judicial intern for 4th Circuit Judge London Kite.

Alt also was a summer intern at the Brooklyn, New York, District Attorney’s Office. Most recently, she worked with the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, 1st Region.

Alt has secured a full-time position as an assistant district attorney at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, where she will begin after graduation.
