A Culver’s franchisee is expanding the area’s access to ButterBurgers as it builds a new restaurant at 14011 Hyatt Road in North Jacksonville.
The city issued a permit April 8 for Campbell Construction JC Inc. of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, to build the restaurant at a project cost of $1.8 million.
It follows a site-clearing permit issued March 18 for $850,000.
The Barbaresco Group LLC, which also operates the Regency area Culver’s, is developing a 4,276-square-foot restaurant on 1.68 acres at Hyatt Road and Max Leggett Parkway near River City Marketplace.
Plans show indoor and patio seating and a double drive-thru.
The Barbaresco Group paid almost $1.4 million for the site Dec. 17, 2024. The site is east of the Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic and domiciliary.
The Barbaresco Group LLC is affiliated with The Brunello Group LLC and The Barolo Group LLC.
The Barolo Group owns the Regency Culver’s built in 2022 at 101 Monument Road.
Franchisees own at least seven Culver’s in Northeast Florida comprising four in Jacksonville and one each in Yulee, Middleburg and Saint Johns.
The area’s first Culver’s opened in July 2019 in Middleburg
Wisconsin-based Culver’s specializes in ButterBurgers — burgers on buttered, toasted buns — and frozen custard. The menu includes chicken sandwiches and tenders; seafood sandwiches and dinners; salads; sides; soups; and more.
