Fore Score Golf Tavern can now move forward on its second Jacksonville location.
The city issued a permit Sept. 13 for the restaurant and game simulator venue to build-out at 7570 Gate Parkway, No. 101, in The Palms at Gate Parkway.
Avant Construction Group Inc. is the contractor for the $750,000, 4,761-square-foot project.
The Palms at Gate Parkway is near Burnt Mill Road about a half-mile north of Ikea.
The first Fore Score Golf Tavern opened in August 2022 at 1407 Atlantic Blvd. in San Marco Square.
Its simulator bays measure golf swing speed, ball spin rate, distance and other data for an on-course experience at famed courses like Pebble Beach, St. Andrews and TPC Sawgrass.
The simulators can also be used to play baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, dodgeball and other games.
Fore Score Golf Tavern has a full bar and menu that serves lunch and dinner. It features handmade, not frozen, hamburger patties. It also has flatbread pizza, sandwiches, sliders and desserts.
Daniel Hileman and Andy Allen, CEO of Corner Lot Development Group, are the partners in Fore Score Golf Tavern.
“With the success of our San Marco location and the demand for corporate events, the Gate Parkway location is perfect for this,” Allen told the Daily Record in June.
“There’s just a lot of roofs over there,” Hileman said.
The Palms at Gate Parkway is a two-level office, retail and restaurant project built at 7510, 7540 and 7570 Gate Parkway.
Other planned tenants include Foxtail Coffee Co., Guanabana Ice Pops, V Steakhouse – now named 14 Prime – and V Pizza, with Sidecar Jax lounge, and Nomu, a small-plate Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar.
Jacksonville-based Ash Properties, the property owner and landlord at The Palms at Gate Parkway, is moving its headquarters there. The city issued a permit in June for Ash Construction LLC to build-out 26,175 square feet of space on the second floor at 7540 Gate Parkway at a project cost of $189,096.
