The Duval County Clerk of Courts is scheduling appointments for the 4th annual Let’s Drive Jax! driver's license reinstatement expo Oct. 7-11 and Oct. 14-18 at the Duval County Courthouse.
Visit duvalclerk.com/drivejax for details and to complete the required preregistration form. The clerk’s office said those interested are encouraged to preregister as early as possible because a limited number of appointments are available.
There is no need to know exactly why a license is not valid as clerk’s office staff will research each situation and contact the participant to explain the process and schedule an appointment.
The program provides a one-stop shop for citizens to work directly with the appropriate state agencies and/or the court to determine how to reinstate their driving privilege and get back on the road.
Participating agencies include the 4th Judicial Circuit Court, the 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney, the 4th Judicial Circuit Public Defender, Florida Department of Revenue, Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and the Duval County Tax Collector.
“We thank all of our partner agencies who are working together with the Clerk’s Office to resolve the issues affecting the participants’ licenses and get them back on the road quickly and safely,” Duval County Clerk of Courts Jody Phillips said in a news release.
The Duval County Clerk’s Office will not be able to assist people with licenses revoked, suspended or canceled due to out-of-county or out-of-state matters.
