Update: Day one of the event was canceled because of weather. The second day of the event is still scheduled.

Businesses interested in electrifying their company vehicles can get behind the wheel of several types of EVs at a JEA-hosted ride-and-drive on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5.

Vehicles available include the Ford E-Transit van, the Ford F150 Lightning pickup truck and the Bollinger Motors Class 4 commercial vehicle.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Miller Electric, 6805 Southpoint Parkway. There is no fee, but registration is recommended. To register, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fleet-electrification-ride-drive-event-tickets-980179662757.

JEA administrators will be on hand to discuss the electrification of the city-owned utility’s fleet, which provides commercial customers tools and engineering advice to develop a conversion plan. Information on financial incentives will be available during the event, according to a Sept. 3 news release from JEA.

Miller EV Solutions, Duval Motors and Bollinger Motors are co-hosts.
