Chad Clarke promoted to SouthState Bank market president

He succeeds First Coast Division president Mitch Hunt, who retired in September.

SouthState Bank announced it promoted Chad Clarke to Jacksonville market president.

He has served the Jacksonville banking community for 23 years, including the last seven with SouthState as a senior vice president and commercial banking team lead.

Clarke succeeds First Coast Division president Mitch Hunt, who retired in September after a 43-year banking career.
