Plans are advancing for Wildlight’s Westerly Park residential community in Yulee.
The Nassau County Development Review Committee approved homebuilder Pulte Homes’ civil engineering plans Oct. 29. The county commission will review the project at an upcoming meeting. It is not yet scheduled.
The neighborhood is near Wildlight Elementary School and the YMCA at Wildlight.
Site plans show Pulte will build 402 homes on 50- to 60-foot lots. It’s estimated to bring more than 1,000 residents to the area, according to Pulte.
Construction of a neighborhood amenity center is planned to begin in 2025 and open in spring 2026, a Raydient Places and Properties spokesperson said in July.
The Westerly Park recreation facility will feature an open-air pavilion overlooking a family pool and a six-lane lap pool with a playground and picnic area.
Raydient Places and Properties, a subsidiary of Rayonier Inc., is developing Wildlight.
David Weekley Homes, a new builder for Wildlight, said in July it plans to construct townhouses and duplexes in Westerly Park on 20- to 35-foot lots.
David Weekley Homes expects to start delivery in fall 2025. Permits have not been issued for the project.
“By teaming up with David Weekley Homes and Pulte Homes, we’re blending exceptional home offerings with top-tier amenities,” Wes Hinton, vice president of Wildlight, said in a news release.
Wildlight, which launched in 2016, is planned for 24,000 homes. Projects include the Publix-anchored Crossings at Wildlight shopping center in 2022, UF Health Wildlight in 2019, and Rayonier’s headquarters in 2017. The county’s first Wawa opened July 11.
The Baptist Nassau Crossing Medical Campus is planned to open in November. An HCA Healthcare emergency center is planned for early 2025.
