The 2024 Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair begins Nov. 7 at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds within the Sports and Entertainment District next to EverBank Stadium.

The 2025 Fair also will take place on the current site at 510 Fairgrounds Place.

“We are looking forward to welcoming our community to the 2024 and 2025 Fair in the same location we have been for decades, right next to the stadium and across from the arena. Anticipation is high for the future venue, and we appreciate the enthusiasm for the move, which is planned to take place in 2026,” Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair CEO and President Bill Olson said in an Oct. 29 news release.

The event’s debut at the new site in West Jacksonville is planned for 2026.

The city issued a permit Sept. 18 for construction of a 77.500-square-foot expo hall, office and amphitheater stage at 13611 Normandy Blvd. at project cost of $17 million.

The new Jacksonville Fairgrounds facilities will be on a city-owned, 82.37-acre site next to the Jacksonville Equestrian Center.

The city included $42.9 million in its Capital Improvement Plan for the new fairground.

In 2023, Council approved a development and lease agreement with the Duval County Fair Association for the new site.

The city will lease the site to the Fair Association for 30 years with two 10-year renewal options at $100 per year. The Council also approved a $1.5 million development loan and a $1.5 million completion grant for the project.

According to the agreement, the total Fair Association investment in the facility is expected to be $18 million.

The association is selling the Downtown site, where the fair has been held since 1955, to Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan, with the sale expected to close in early 2025.
