O’Reilly Auto Parts is set to move into Green Cove Springs. It will be the retailer’s fifth Clay County location.
The Green Cove Springs store is planned at 1718 Verdad St. off U.S. 17 north of Wendy’s and Winn-Dixie. It is planned to be 7,453 square feet with 27 parking spaces, according to site plans submitted Oct. 4 by project engineer Stantec, of Clearwater.
Missouri-based Esterly Schneider Associates Inc. is the architect.
The county’s design review committee is scheduled to discuss project plans Oct. 24.
Two other O’Reilly Auto Parts operate in Orange Park at 5102 Blanding Blvd. and 1980 Wells Road. A third is in Fleming Island at 1545 County Road 220, No. 113. A fourth is in Middleburg at 2683 Blanding Blvd.
According to corporate.oreillyauto.com, O’Reilly was founded in 1957 and began with one store in Springfield, Missouri. There are currently 6,152 stores in 48 U.S. states and Puerto Rico, 69 stores in Mexico and 23 stores in Canada. It has about 93,000 employees.
