Jacksonville husband-and-wife team Shai and Charlotte Tzabari co-founded Olive My Pickle.

According to the business’s website, olivemypickle.com, the business began in 2010 and gained a foothold by operating at farmers markets. The site says Shai Tzabari grew up in Israel, where he regularly made pickled items in his grandmother’s kitchen.

The couple launched their e-commerce business in 2018, the site says.

“This store is a love letter to our customers who have supported us over the past 14 years, and we can’t wait to share our passion for pickles with even more people in our local community,” Charlotte Tzabari, CEO of Olive My Pickle, said in the release.

The city Planning Commission unanimously approved a zoning exception and administrative deviation Oct. 3 to allow Olive My Pickle to open a retail shop at its warehouse.

The Pickle Factory hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Oct. 19 grand opening is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will include giveaways, tasting stations, a food truck, fermenting workshops and more.

The Pickle Factory also has an event space for workshops such as Pickle Making 101, How to Build the Perfect Charcuterie Board, and Gut Healthy Cooking, the release said.
