The city is reviewing a building permit application for Aroma360, which provides scenting services for homes, businesses and cars, to renovate space for a store at St. Johns Town Center.
Exxpo Construction of Aventura is shown as the contractor for the estimated $152,133 renovation of the 2,000-square-foot space at 4818 River City Drive, Unit 101, in the Nordstrom courtyard where furniture companies have been opening their only Jacksonville locations.
Calling itself a luxury scenting service, the retailer says it specializes in ambient scenting solutions and creates customized fragrances for all sizes of space.
Simon Property Group is the landlord. Zamparelli Architectural Group of Miami is the Aroma360 architect.
The St. Johns Town Center website on simon.com shows the store as coming soon in the corner of the building nearest Nordstrom and across the courtyard from the Nordstrom Ebar coffee shop.
In addition to clothing retailers, the Nordstrom courtyard tenants include Arhaus Furniture, Lovesac and soon, Relax in Comfort.
‘Aromachology’
Aroma360 says it uses “the principles of Aromachology” to analyze how scents will influence potential customers.
“Whether it be incorporating a scent to stimulate sales, enhance perceived value or to increase feelings of trust and calmness – scent is a powerful tool that is widely underused,” says aroma360.com.
Clients include hotels, spas, other businesses and homes. Aroma360 says it has worked with brands that include Lexus, Disney, Marriott, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Ferrari.
“Shark Tank” star Daymond John is an investor and markets the Wireless Pro.
The Miami-based company has 17 showrooms in six states, including seven in Florida in Aventura, Boca Raton, Naples, Palm Beach, Sarasota, Tampa and Wynwood.
Customers can create a signature scent or buy those listed as “inspired by” hotels such as Ritz-Carlton, Westin Hotels, Margaritaville, Fairmont Hotels and others.
For example, the Dream On scent inspired by Westin Hotels has top notes of white tea, aloe vera and ginger with middle notes of cedarwood, vanilla and amber and base notes of lily, sandalwood and musk.
The Sweetest Taboo scent inspired by Aria Hotels carries a top note of cedar crème, middle notes of red pomegranates and raspberry on base notes of white woods and peony.
Devices
Aroma360 sells room scent and car diffusers as well as portable Wireless Pro devices. It sells stand-alone scenting and HVAC installation.
Aroma360.com says its oils are made in the U.S. from plant-derived essences and distributed through cold-air diffusion. The diffuser is a waterless and heatless atomizing device that disperses fragrance into a fine dry mist of nano particles.
Aroma360 also sells reed diffusers, candles and room sprays. It recently launched a perfume and body collection.

The store has a team that can install private and commercial scenting systems or customers can do the work themselves with technical support.
