Medical services in Nassau County’s master-planned Wildlight community continue to grow with a planned CVS Pharmacy.
JEA is reviewing a service request submitted Sept. 24 and the St. Johns River Water Management District also is reviewing plans for the project.
The CVS is at south Florida 200 and Crosstown Avenue, about a mile east of the Publix-anchored Crossings at Wildlight shopping center.
The CVS will be about a mile east of where HCA Healthcare and Baptist Health are building ER facilities. UF Health opened a medical office adjacent to the Crossings at Wildlight in 2019.
The CVS is 15,253 square feet. CVS stores are typically between 8,000 and 15,000 square feet. Site plans show 51 parking spaces, future mixed-use space and a drive-thru.
Jacksonville-based England-Thims & Miller is the civil engineer. Boos Development Group of Clearwater is the developer.
Rayonier, through Wildlight LLC, owns the 0.3-acre site, which was purchased in August 2019.
CVS Pharmacy operates over 9,674 stores in more than 40 states, according to its website, including four in Nassau County. CVS.com says that about 85% of Americans live within five miles of one of its locations.
CVS was founded May 8, 1963, in Lowell, Massachusetts.
