Small Business Development Center opens Downtown

An initiative of the University of North Florida, it provides resources to active and prospective entrepreneurs.

The Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida opened an office Downtown in the Barnett Building at 112 W. Adams St. on Nov. 14.

The new Downtown Enterprise Hub is a collaborative space where small businesses can access resources, engage in innovative projects and participate in educational opportunities designed to help business thrive, UNF said.

“We are thrilled to open our new downtown office, which will serve as a beacon of support and innovation for small businesses in Jacksonville. This space represents our commitment to fostering an environment where entrepreneurs can collaborate, learn and grow,” Debbie Magyar, SBDC at UNF regional director, said in a news release.

The Downtown office is an extension of the main SBDC office at UNF’s campus in South Jacksonville. It will offer management assistance and training to prospective or existing small-business owners.

The SBDC at UNF operates in the region comprising Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Gilchrist, Levy, Hamilton, Lafayette, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee and Union counties.
