Delta will operate the route with an 76-seat Embraer E175 aircraft.

Delta will be only carrier offering nonstop service to Austin. In years past, American Airlines and Frontier offered nonstop flights to the city.

“Delta offering daily nonstop flights to Austin, one of our largest unserved markets, is a huge win for our business and leisure communities,” Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO Mark VanLoh said in the release.

According to schedule data published by Cirium Diio Mi, Delta currently provides nonstop service from Jacksonville to Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, New York and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
