Chick-fil-A will open a restaurant without a dining room in East Arlington on Nov. 26.
It is at 11909 Atlantic Blvd. in the Atlantic North shopping center at northwest Atlantic and Kernan boulevards.
The location will have drive-thru, carry-out, delivery and catering services. A dedicated “Mobile Thru” lane will serve customers placing orders using the Chick-fil-A app.
It will be open 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed on Sunday.
The restaurant is owner Melinda Sowers’ second Chick-fil-A, according Nov. 20 news release. Sowers also owns the restaurant at 13375 Atlantic Blvd. at Atlantic and Hodges boulevards.
Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual. Chick-fil-A’s local owner-operators are small business owners, rather than passive investors, the release said.
It will have 120 full- and part-time employees. Sowers’ youngest son, Carson will be a team member and her oldest son, Jacob, will be part of the leadership team.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue leading a team of passionate, dedicated individuals who make every day at Chick-fil-A special,” Sowers said in the release.
“Our success isn’t just about serving delicious food — it’s about building relationships, both within our team and with the community we serve.”
Chick-fil-A’s corporate offices will mark the opening by donating $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will stay in the community.
Sowers is also participating in the company’s Chick-fil-A Shared Table program. It redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
More than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from more than 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada, the release said.
