Low-cost carrier Allegiant will begin nonstop flights from Jacksonville International Airport to Akron-Canton, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; and Grand Rapids, Michigan, starting in May 2025.

The Jacksonville flights are among 44 new nonstop routes, the airline announced Nov. 19.

The twice-weekly flights to Akron-Canton will begin on May 23 and operate on Thursday and Sunday.

The twice-weekly flights to Des Moines will begin on May 22 and operate on Thursday and Sunday.

The twice-weekly flights to Grand Rapids will begin on May 23 and operate on Monday and Friday.

Introductory one-way fares are as low as $59 for each destination.

All three markets will have year-round service.

“Allegiant has grown considerably through the years in Jacksonville and their low fares offer travelers the opportunity to visit our wonderful community, while offering Northeast Floridians the opportunity to visit some of their favorite places in the Midwest,” Mark VanLoh, Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO, said in a news release.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant offers nonstop service from Jacksonville to Belleville/St. Louis; Cincinnati; Flint, Michigan;  Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Indianapolis; Knoxville, Tennessee; Norfolk, Virginia; Pittsburgh; and Washington, D.C., according to the release.
