JEA reviewing service for two proposed Westlake warehouses topping 430,000 square feet

The two industrial buildings would be developed on Parcels 25 and 26 near Unilever.

City utility JEA is reviewing service availability requests for two parcels in Westlake Industrial Park in West Jacksonville for two proposed warehouses totaling 436,800 square feet.

Jacksonville-based civil engineering firm England-Thims & Miller Inc. applied to the city utility Nov. 8 to determine the service availability for the projects.

A 262,080-square-foot warehouse is in review for Parcel 26, which is west of Pritchard Road at the southern end of Presidents Way. The Unilever.warehouse is to the north.

The sites are west of the consumer goods distributor Unilever at 12200 Presidents Court.

A 174,720-square-foot industrial building is proposed on  Parcel 25, which is west of Pritchard Road south of Presidents Way. The parcel number is shown in Duval County Property Appraiser records as 161 acres.

A 262,080-square-foot warehouse is in review for Parcel 26, which is west of Pritchard Road at the southern end of Presidents Way. That property is shown as 56.8 acres among two parcels of 43.8 acres and almost 13 acres.

It’s not clear if the projects would require the entire acreage of the sites.

Railroad Norfolk, Virginia-based Norfolk Southern Corp. owns the land through  Westlake Land Management Inc

Westlake is along Pritchard Road west of Interstate 295.

The two warehouses in development in Westlake Industrial Park are west of the Unilever warehouse at 12200 Presidents Court.
