St. Augustine hotel sold for $9.75 million

The Courtyard by Marriott St. Augustine I-95 was built in 2009.

A Florida company purchased the Courtyard by Marriott St. Augustine I-95 hotel Oct. 29 for $9.75 million.

The 100-room hotel is at 2075 Florida 16 in St. Augustine, about 1 mile east of Interstate 95. It is adjacent to the St. Augustine Aquarium.

The seller was State College, Pennsylvania-based Shaner Hotel Group through Shaner Select Services Hotels IV LLC.

The buyer was Fifth Hospitality LLC of Melbourne. It is managed by Reepal Mehta.

The three-story, 53,483-square-foot hotel sits on 2.8 acres. It was built in 2009.

Hotel amenities include a pool, restaurant, laundry, fitness center and a meeting space.

Shaner acquired the property in 2006 for $1.1 million.
