A Chicago-based real estate investment trust bought the Camellia at Deerwood senior living facility Oct. 29 for $27.4 million.
The facility, at 10016 Sweetwater Parkway in Jacksonville, offers independent living, assisted living and memory care. It also offers short-term residencies.
Ventas bought the property through VTR Camellia Deerwood LLC. Publicly traded Ventas says it specializes in senior housing communities, outpatient medical buildings, research centers and other places people receive critical care.
Sarasota-based CPF Senior Living Camellia LLC, associated with Chicago-based CPF Living Communities/Chicago Pacific Founders, was the seller.
Ventas operates more than 800 senior living facilities serving more than 77,000 seniors in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.
The four-story, 222,313-square-foot Camellia at Deerwood building was constructed in 2010 on 8.3 acres.
It last sold in 2017 for $39.99 million.
