MedNexus, a University of North Florida initiative focusing on learning and research experiences to prepare future health care providers and leaders, is offering three new academic programs at its Palm Coast campus.
The programs mark a significant expansion of UNF MedNexus’ commitment to providing cutting-edge healthcare education and training opportunities in Flagler County, UNF said in a May 30 news release.
“These programs reflect our commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals to address the evolving needs of our communities,” Julie Merten, associate dean of UNF MedNexus, said in the release.
The new academic programs are:
• Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Administration, for nurses who want to advance their administrative career to become nurse managers, directors of nursing or chief nursing officers.
• Master of Science in Health Informatics to prepare students to use information technology to improve patient outcomes and streamline health care delivery.
• Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an online course for registered nurses who desire to further their education and expand their career opportunities by completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
“The expansion of UNF MedNexus in Palm Coast is a significant milestone for our city. These innovative programs will not only enhance educational opportunities for our residents but also address critical workforce needs in the healthcare sector, fostering a stronger, healthier community,” Palm Coast Mayor David Alfin said in the release.
