Restaurant and nightclub owner Robert Tilka is planning a country concept bar called Kicker's in the San Pablo area.
The city is reviewing a building-permit application for the project.
Plans show a 7,044-square-foot space at 14333 Beach Blvd., No. 33, in Pablo Station at northwest Beach Boulevard and San Pablo Road. The shopping center is anchored by Big Lots. The space previously was LionShare Cowork.
Build-out costs are estimated at $450,000.
Tilka is a partner in ServStar Management Group of Jacksonville Beach, which owns and manages several entertainment locations including Pete’s Bar in Neptune Beach, Hoptinger, Surfer The Bar, The Shim Sham Room in Jacksonville Beach and Dos Gatos in Jacksonville, according to its website.
The Kicker's project client is Works of DIP LLC, which is managed by Tilka. He could not be reached for comment.
Some of the plans call it Kickers.
The plans show an interior featuring a boot-shaped bar in the center of the room that will seat 40, a commercial bar, a stage, a mechanical bull, a gaming area and inside and patio seating.
The stage is 336 square feet and the dancing and standing area in front of the stage is 1,340 square feet. The plans do not show a kitchen; however, there is a sandwich prep station.
There are three rows of bleacher seating near the mechanical bull area.
The interior is designed by Design Cooperative of Jacksonville.
The contractor is CE&M Contractors LLC of Jacksonville. Lowe Structures is the structural engineer.
