English Premier League soccer is coming to EverBank Stadium this summer.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, better known as the Wolves, and West Ham United FC will play at EverBank Stadium at 7 p.m. July 27.
Elite Promotions Group announced the match May 9. It is part of the inaugural Stateside Cup, a three-city tournament July 27 to Aug. 3.
The Stateside Cup also will feature Crystal Palace FC in matches in Annapolis, Maryland, on July 31 and in Tampa on Aug. 3.
The inaugural Stateside Cup trophy will be awarded to the top-performing team.
“This will be a true tournament, with a winner crowned following the three-game series so competition will be fierce,” Elite Promotions co-founder Raymond Farrelly said in a news release. “We know that Jacksonville, Annapolis and Tampa are strong markets for soccer and we’re looking forward to showcasing some of the world’s best talent in these three games.”

The Premier League is the highest level of soccer in England. Its 2024 championship playoff final is scheduled for May 26.
Wolverhampton was founded in 1879. The club has won 17 major trophies in its history, including 11 league titles, four FA Cups and two League Cups. This season, the Wolves are ranked 12 out of 20 teams in the Premier League standings.
West Ham United is based in London. It was originally founded as Thames Ironworks FC in 1895, then reformed as West Ham United FC in 1900. It won the FA Cup in 1964, 1975 and 1980. It ranks ninth in the Premier League standings.
The match isn’t the city’s only tie to the Premier League. Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan owns Fulham FC, which is ranked 13th in the standings.
