After two years, P.F. Chang’s To Go has shut its doors in River City Marketplace in North Jacksonville.
PFChangs.com states that the location at 840 Nautica Drive, Suite 121, is “permanently closed.”
The company announced March 2, 2022, that it opened the 1,600-square-foot site. “continuing the statewide and national expansion of the concept that provides guests with bold, authentically crafted Asian food whenever the craving hits.”
Th location could seat 11 customers indoors.
The full-scale P.F. Chang’s Jacksonville bistro remains open at St. Johns Town Center.
P.F. Chang’s, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, launched the To Go concept as part of its off-premise dining strategy. Restaurant chains expanded into takeout and other concepts when the 2020 pandemic changed diners’ habits.
P.F. Chang’s To Go focuses on takeout, delivery, catering and third-party delivery services.
The website shows that in Florida, P.F. Chang’s has five To Go locations open in Boynton Beach, Miami Lakes, Lake Buena Vista, Lake Nona and Winter Garden.
“P.F. Chang’s To Go River City Marketplace allows our guests to enjoy our elevated Asian cuisine in an easily accessible way,” P.F. Chang’s COO Art Kilmer said in March 2022.
P.F. Chang’s To Go River City Marketplace featured menu that included Chang’s Spicy Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Chang’s Lettuce Wraps.
P.F. Chang's sent a statement March 13:
"We are always looking for ways to deliver P.F. Chang’s to our guests that best fit their needs. At this location, the purpose was offering P.F. Chang's in a smaller format where a large-scale restaurant was not feasible. We are immensely grateful for the support and patronage extended by our customers throughout the years but have decided to conclude operations at this location as of last week. We will continue to take guest feedback into consideration as we work on new concepts."
