TD Bank announced March 4 it named Boris Ayala as its North Florida retail market president.
The market includes the greater Orlando, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Ocala, Daytona Beach, Lakeland and Melbourne areas, according to a news release.
Ayala is based in Orlando.
“Boris is a committed people leader dedicated to building high-performing, customer-focused teams within a collaborative environment,” Nick Miceli, regional president of metro Florida, TD Bank, said in the release.
“His deep retail banking experience across the state combined with his ability to unite teams around a shared goal will serve him well in this new role.”
Ayala will oversee business development activities for TD Bank’s retail banking business and lead a retail bank team of more than 500 employees in 72 stores.
He will design and implement a market strategy to improve the customer and employee experience across North Florida, while promoting bankwide collaboration at the market, regional and store levels, the release said.
Ayala will also oversee the consumer banking team’s engagement in the local community.
He has nearly 30 years of experience in retail banking, sales-business development, bank operations, management and credit. Most recently, Ayala was senior vice president, North Florida retail executive, at Fifth Third Bank, where he was responsible for 91 retail locations across North Florida.
TD Bank is based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Its website shows five branch locations in Jacksonville and two in St. Johns County.
