Foxtail Coffee Co. has another location on the burner – The Palms at Gate Parkway south of St. Johns Town Center.

The city is reviewing a building permit application for Rhodes Building Co. LLC of Longwood to build-out almost 1,500 square feet of space at an estimated cost of $525,000.

Plans show the project is on the first floor at 7570 Gate Parkway, one of three buildings at the Palms, which is at Gate Parkway and Burnt Mill Road.

Jacksonville-based Ash Properties is the property owner and landlord of the recently built two-level office, retail and restaurant project built at 7510, 7540 and 7570 Gate Parkway.

Among other tenants, Ash Properties intends to move its headquarters there. The city is reviewing a permit for the estimated $189,096 build-out of the second floor at 7540 Gate Parkway. Ash Properties would relocate from space it uses in the building it owns at 7880 Gateway Parkway.

The city issued a permit March 18 for V Steakhouse – now named 14 Prime – and V Pizza, with Sidecar Jax lounge between them, to build-out on the ground floor at 7510 Gate Parkway in The Palms.

Foxtail Coffee has two locations in the area. The franchise is owned by Ty Claggett and Doug Tutwiler.

Foxtail operates in East San Marco in Jacksonville, Silverleaf in St. Augustine and its first, opened in June 2022 in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Foxtail sells a full coffee menu, breakfast products, lunch and Foxtail merchandise.

Orlando-based Foxtail Coffee Co. opened its first location in 2016. The Foxtailcoffee.com site shows 67 locations in four states.

Claggett and Tutwiler said in April 2023 they expect to continue opening Foxtail locations throughout Northeast Florida.

“I would say over the next four years we will open another five or 10 more, maybe more,” Tutwiler said then.
