Komma Tea & Natural Homemade Desserts, a Sunrise-based company with eight locations in six states, is building-out at St. Johns Town Center.

The city issued a permit June 18 for FH Enterprise Holdings Inc. of Davie to build-out at 10281 Midtown Parkway at a project cost of $189,000.

Komma Tea intends to lease a 1,269-square-foot space for the takeout store.

It is joining the strip of stores anchored by P.F. Chang’s.

The company has Florida locations in Sunrise and Pembroke Pines. Its kommatea.com site says locations are coming soon to Jacksonville and Altamonte Springs in Florida; Augusta, Georgia; and Nashville, Tennessee.

In addition to Florida, it now has locations in Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Komma Tea’s menu includes milk teas, refreshers and freshly baked macarons in 12 flavors. The macarons are also called “Kommacaron.”
