Four new members were elected June 6 to the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section board of governors.
• Daniel O’Byrne is an associate attorney at Saalfield Shad Law Firm.
A Bishop Kenny High School graduate, O’Byrne graduated from Florida State University and then received a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
• Summer Reed is an associate attorney at Cobb & Gonzalez.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Reed then received a J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law.
• Camille Sheppard is a partner at Sheppard White Kachergus & DeMaggio.
A graduate of Emory University and the University of Florida Levin College of Law, she is the oldest daughter of firm founders Bill Sheppard and Betsy White.
In addition to her studies at Levin, Sheppard interned in Washington D.C., for U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor after her first year of law school. Her work with Castor included researching legislative issues, attending congressional hearings and briefings and assisting in the preparation of floor statements.
• Austin Sherman is a shareholder at Carr Allison.
He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in political science and received a J.D. from the UF Levin College of Law. Sherman was vice president of the Moot Court Team, vice president of the John Marshall Bar Association and teaching assistant for legal writing and trial practice.
