The Downtown Development Review Board will elect a new chair at its July meeting after Linzee Ott accepted a nomination June 13 to serve in the position.

A Daily Record story from the June 13 DDRB meeting incorrectly stated that the board had elected Ott as chair.

Ott is vice chair of the DDRB, which reviews all development and redevelopment projects Downtown in accordance with special zoning regulations and design guidelines that apply to Downtown.

DDRB chair Matt Brockelman has served two one-year terms as chair, the maximum allowed.

In April 22, the Jacksonville City Council approved Ott’s appointment to the DDRB by adopting Resolution 2022-0229.

Ott has volunteered with the San Marco Preservation Society since 2017, serving as its board president in 2019-20, according to her online biography on the DDRB board web page.

Ott is a Jacksonville native who is community engagement coordinator for the 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office.

According to the Downtown Investment Authority website, the DDRB’s next meeting is 2 p.m. July 11 at City Hall, 117 W. Duval St.
